Today Billutan helped Billutan's Momma at her stall. The event today was 1Malaysia Charity Bazaar organized by Wanita PERKIM KL Utara. So, Billutan's Momma got a table for the event.
There were about over 60 tables or stalls in the Bukit Damansara Community Centre. The centre was a huge hall!! Imagine a hall able to fit over 100 large tables! O.O
The charity event was organized to support 2 children shelters, namely, Rumah Nursalam and Rumah Nurzarah. The shelters help protect underprivileged children.
Every transaction done in the bazaar was in coupon form. Billutan felt weird at first when customers paid with coupons XD After a few transaction, it was fine. Billutan did have some trouble though when some customers don't have the exact change, but that again was sorted out! =D
Anyways, we started at 10 in morning and finished at 6 in the evening. Some vendors even stayed on longer! Amazing!
Billutan and Billutan's Momma collected quite a sum of coupons. At the end of the event, all vendors redeem the coupons collected to gain a percentage of what they earn. Another portion will be given to the underprivileged children houses.
There is a Jumbo Sale section. In that section, all profits made from sale is given to charity instead of vendors getting a share. Jumbo Sale did quite well! Even Billutan's Momma bought some items there! haha! XD
Billutan took a peek at how much money was collected and it was considerably a huge sum. Billutan was glad =D The charity event was a success!
Finally, it was a fun event! You get to sell stuffs, earn some cash and at the same time help the needy =D
Billutan felt happy and also exhausted after the event, but it was alright! and Oh! Billutan would like to thank everyone that has made this event a very successful one! Thank you very much =D
